Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.
